Join us for this year's best paddling films
Weclome to the Paddling Film Festival on Friday the 13th of March between 18-21 at our favourite Restaurant Telegrafen and on Saturday the 14th of March between 16-21 at Storm Cinema & Restaurant. During the Paddling Film Festival, some of the world’s best short films focusing on paddling (in English) will be shown. The films will be selected by a jury based in Canada. The films will then go on a world tour. In connection with the film screenings, you can meet colleagues, guests and stakeholders in the industry before, after and during the films.
The Paddling Film Festival has been showcasing the very best paddling films since 2006. Be inspired to explore rivers, lakes and oceans, appreciate wild places and embrace the paddling lifestyle. The festival is organized in more than 135 cities around the world.
Program
Friday
6-9 pm WINE, CHEESE & PADDLING FILM at Restaurant Telegrafen. The kitchen opens at 6 pm. You arrive, have a seat and order something to drink. You are served a salad with cheese and other goodies. The film starts at 7 pm. You eat and watch, in the restaurant, with lit candles. Ticket price excluding drinks. Warm welcome!
Saturday
4-5 pm OPEN LECTURES at Storm Restuarant & Cinema in Grebbestad. Martin Ploug and Line Antoft from Kipling Travel will take you on a kayaking adventure in Greenland. Joakim Hermanson, founder of Upplevelsebolaget, will show pictures and talk about life as a nature tourism entrepreneur and kayak guide.
5-6 pm After the lectures, you can mingle with exhibitors, friends, colleagues and enjoy local food and drink. There will be a table for bartering and flea market. Bring your outdoor gadget with price & mobile number. If it is too big, bring a photo. We hope that the shelf warmers will get new life.
6:00 pm The first sesession of the BIG FILM SCREENING. There will be a break with mingling as above and during the film screening you can compete for great prizes from our exhibitors and sponsors such as a Guided winter kayak tour with Skärgårdsidyllen Kayak & Outoor, etc.
Sunday
We highly recommend spending the weekend in Grebbestad. Here is a list of great accomodations close to the festival, Grebbestad Fjorden, Grevbys Hotell, TanumStrand, Grebbestads hostel and Saltviks camping and last but not least experience and enjoy the popular Breakfast at Sjögrens i backen, our local bakery.
